As strange or morbid as it sounds, many people I’ve met who have had near death experiences have spoken about almost feeling ‘lucky’ they went through the ordeal that they did. It’s given them an incredible sense of clarity and a true appreciation of what they’ve got in their lives - right here and now.
I’ve always wondered which is the better way to die- fast and furious…or long and loving. Having all the time to say goodbye to a loved one sounds idyllic, but it comes with consequences. Whereas with a quick and unexpected death, often there are things left unsaid. It’s less painful for the one who dies. But far more for the ones left behind.
